Within five minutes of Nannette's first visit to the Old Window Workshop, it was clear that she liked the idea of restoring windows and loved the women's space. Nannette worked for years as a manager in residential treatment for disturbed adolescents while staying active in improving her neighborhood, pursuing studies in architectural drafting and being a great mother to her 9-year-old son, Kieth and 5-year-old daughter, Kayla.
In addition to her Associates Degree in Architectural Design, Nannette brings experience in carpentry and a knowledge of managing teams for quality work. She holds an OSHA 10 certificate, First Aid and CPR and is an EPA-certified Supervisor in Lead Safe Practices. Nannette is pressing on with academics to achieve her Bachelor's Degree in Business Leadership and will graduate in the fall of 2017.
The Old Window Workshop will rise from Nannette's total commitment to building a successful worker-owned and women-owned cooperative.
